YouTube Blocked in Armenia

March 7, 2008 Election Riots
We can now confirm that YouTube has been blocked in Armenia. We have spoken with several people in Armenia, and we were told that it’s fully blocked.
This is due to several riot videos being posted. It should also be noted, that A1Plus stopped posting videos there since 5 days ago. A1Plus’s website has been down for over a week also.
ArmeniaNow was also a victim of the media blackout, as we announced few days ago, it will only report official news only from now on.
Armenia also blocked several radio channels and closed several newspapers.
Armenians are now receiving only one-sided information. All people who are being interviewed on H1 Armenia’s National Channel are anti-Levon Ter-Petrosyan. All news reports are targeted against Ter-Petrosyan and people who participated during riots.
